Our graduation and workshop weekend held from August 17-20 was a great success. Mestre Nô of Capoeira Angola Palmares from Bahia led the event with several Angola and music workshops. Other guests included Professora (now Contra-Mestre) Marisa Cordeiro from Chicago, Contra-Mestre Pererê from Seattle, Contra-Mestre Manhoso from Mexico City, musician Eliezer Freitas, and Mestre Canguru from São Paulo who made a surprise appearance!
