Our System

Our system is based on the first system of classification that was developed for capoeira. It was created by our mestre, Carlos Senna, in 1955.

Our Mestre

The late Mestre Carlos Senna was a student of Mestre Bimba and part of the memorable team that gave a capoeira demonstration to then Brazilian president Getúlio Vargas in 1953. He founded the Centro de Pesquisa, Estudo e Instrução de Capoeira Senavox in Salvador Bahia.

Our Teacher

Mestre Yoji Senna founded the Afro-Brazilian Capoeira Assocation and is the son of Mestre Carlos Senna.
